LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT

"I was waiting by the restaurant for a friend. I was standing under my pink umbrella. The rain kept pouring and pouring. Out of nowhere, I saw this beautiful man walking out of the restaurant. As soon our eyes met, I knew I would be spending the rest of my life with this man. It was love! It really was!"

You have heard this. It doesn't matter where--in the media, from your friend, from that person at that party. Or maybe, it was you. "Love at first sight" concept is not only utterly ridiculous, but also deceiving. It is almost obvious that to love someone, you have to love someone more than his/her physical appearance--maybe her thoughts, his passion for art, and on and on. Love is a much, much stronger feeling than a mere physical attraction. Thus, love at first sight is superficial and a completely empty emotion. I admit that all those stories about this so-called "love" sound romantic. But, I would rather listen to a not-so-romantic story which has weight, and some value. If you think it's love at first sight, it's not. It is simply a sexual attraction. Next time someone gorgeous passes by and you think you are in love, think again.
